It started with a smile
And I heard not one word
He told me I was beautiful
Without saying a word

It started with a kiss

Followed by his embrace

He held me close
And brushed my face

It started with a ring
And promise for two
He gave me a kiss
And a simple "I do"

It started with a hope
To make two equal three
He held me close
Though we knew it would be

It started with a kick
And a love so strong
He gave me a baby
And it wouldn't be long
