Introduction

     So, I was going to put this on one of my pages but couldn't figure out how to add a blog to extra pages or if its even possible so I will try to provide links back and forth. I believe that this probably will hurt my site rankings but I feel I'm at a loss.
  

     This blog's primary focus will be photos and art (and anything else creative or crafty that tickles my fancy), taken by me, or made by me. 
     The song at the side I felt was very appropriate and befitting. Every time I hear it, it kind of brings a tear to my eye. Not because I think the song itself is sad per se but more of a happy tear.

Friday made for a curious day weather wise and for some interesting views from my front porch. As I was doodling here, typing there by the window I notice an impending DARK blue seeming to make it's way my way. Hmmm I thought, this outta be interesting. Camera in hand I dashed outside just in time to catch the results. Gotta say, it kind of reminded me of a dust storm! I was lucky enough to get a before and after shot.....

What is this thing you call "S...pring"?

     Two days ago we found ourselves in what can only be described, when given the last few weeks temperatures, a heat wave! What I mean, is, that the temperature toyed with plus double digits. Oh happy day! We all emerged from shelter, guarding our eyes from the foreign glare of the elusive sunshine to allow for adjustment. These ones were taken Dec. 6, 2010. To me, the designs looked tropical in nature which I found  ironic give the obviously frigid temperature. Again I played with different lighting. I tried taking some with the "High ISO" feature on but you have to hold VERY still to get an image that's not blurry and holding still while shaking in the cold AND holding the door open to get the right angle was less than simple.

Good Morning!

The actual view from my front porch was breathtaking to say the least. Despite the -25 C reading this sun had that comforting touch to it that reached down deep in my soul made me take a deep breath and smile. Warmth from within.
